Travel Guide: College Station
Y'all. This week has FLOWN by. Isn't it funny that when you need weeks to be short, they feel long and vice versa? I got back from Cayman Brac, Monday night. I've barely unpacked and I'm supposed to move into my new apartment this weekend AHH.
Anyway, speaking of going by fast, I feel like college went by too fast. Yes, I did graduate a semester early, but it seriously flew by. Last month, my sister graduated from Texas A&M. I know she thinks it went by too quickly ;) She'll be continuing her education at TWU, for her Masters in Counseling. Before she comes back to the DFW, I thought it'd be fun to do a College Station Travel Guide! Whether you're an Aggie or not, if you're in the SEC, you've probably got a game down here, so it would be fun to know what your options are!
Gumby's Get pizza rolls, via the drive through! 75 cents a piece on Tuesday!
Antonio's Pizza by the slice, on the legendary Northgate.
Aji Authentic, hole in the wall sushi. Really good prices!
Sweet Eugene's Is homey and has good coffee. What more could you want?
Mugwalls You get to pick your own mug out, off the literal mug wall!
Lupe Tortilla It's your typical Tex-Mex and that never disappoints!
Freebirds Go to the original location, duh. I for one am a Freebirds fan over Chipotle.
Fuego I first had it in College Station, so I had to list it! Go after 1 am, and be sure to get the queso ;)
Dixie Chicken A fun food bar with pool and dominoes.
Blackwater Draw We went here for my sister's graduation lunch! It's a local brewery that is animal friendly, and has games outside, to keep you (or your children) occupied. Their burgers are good too!
Koppe Bridge My favorite burger joint in CS!
Downtown Uncorked A cutesy wine bar, in historic Bryan.
Pine Boutique My favorite boutique in College Station! I must go here every time I'm in town.
Merge The sister boutique of Pine.
Willa Trendy pieces, for good prices.
Anything Bling Unique looks, in both trendy and classic items.
Hemline Boutique They sell Mumu. Need I say more?
Messina Hoff Winery and Vineyard You can take tours or just taste. They also host dinners and also have a bed and breakfast! This is the original location - they have a tasting room in Fredericksburg and Grapevine, as well.
Historic Downtown Bryan Fun to walk around and shop - day or night. they have coffee shops, ice cream parlors, Hemline Boutique, and festivals and parades for different holidays. It's also fun to stay in hotels down here, instead of in College Station proper. They're cuter;)
George Bush Presidential Library Monumental to visit. There's also a beautiful park next to it. #PhotoOpp
Santa's Wonderland During the months of November through January, this is a great thing for all ages to experience. Hot Chocolate + Fun!
Northgate The local bar district. Good to experience at least once!
Kyle Field I mean, even as a Baylor fan, it is a cool stadium. You should go to a game. My mom loves watching the band.
Parks and Rec
Have you ever been to College Station? Did I leave anything off my list?
