It's finally starting to feel like fall in Dallas. Can you be-leaf it?;) It may be a little cooler, but that doesn't stop me from wearing florals. Isn't this Mumu print the best?! I love transitioning florals into fall, as you probably remember from my first day of fall post and my Stems of Dallas post.

I was looking over the posts in my draft folder, and found that I hadn't done a Dallas food post in over a month! If you're new to Southern Elle Style, here are my food guides for Knox/Henderson, Downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum, and Bishop Arts. My boyfriend lives in the Dallas Design District, so I'm there a lot. I actually listed it as one of my favorite spots to take pictures in Dallas, here. So, without further adieu, here's my design district guide!

Ascension Coffee. I'm starting with this, because I'm there at least twice a week, if not more. They not only have the best cup of coffee in Dallas, but serve a full menu and double as a wine bar! Come here for your out of office meeting during the day and to catch up with your friends at night. P.S. They are opening a 2nd location in the Crescent, early 2016! What to Order: A barista's choice pour-over and the avocado toast.

Meddlesome Moth. Located right right behind Ascension, this is a Mecca for beer lovers.  Even if you don't like beer, chances are that they will have something else you'd like to eat or drink. Come here with your brew loving bros or trendy visitors. What to Order: Something off of their secret beer menu and the bacon lollipops.

Oak. Conveniently located across the street from Ascension and Meddlesome Moth, is Oak. They have changed chefs a couple of times, but it is still a DD favorite. Come here to celebrate something special with your bffs. What to Order: Something off of their Happy Hour special menu. Definitely get the brussels sprouts.

Pakpao. Connected in the same building with Oak, Pakpao is a trendy Thai spot. Come here with your fun co-workers for lunch or after work happy hour. What to Order: One of their special cocktails and the Pad Thai.

Rodeo Goat. The original location is in Fort Worth, which  I have not been to, but the DD location is great. Come here with your non-vegetarian friends for sure, as it has one of the best burgers in Dallas. What to Order: The original cheeseburger with an order of cheese fries. Their ranch is THE BEST.

El Bolero. Probably the newest face to the design district, and it's a beautiful one at that! It is an authentic Mexican feel (not Tex-Mex), that also includes sea food. Come here to impress your clients during the week (you can get a free shoe shine, no joke!) and for brunch with your significant other on the weekend. I'd consider this a good spot for your trendy out of city folk as well.  What to Order: The sage margarita and the chilaquiles verdes. The achiote pork tacos with pineapple are very good too. Be sure to try their blue corn tortillas.

FT33. The most upscale restaurant in the design district, and one of the nicest in the city as well. Come here with your s/o to celebrate something special! What to Order: Sit at the chef's table and eat whatever he feeds you! CLOSED OFFICIALLY #RIP

Community Brewery. Okay, so not a restaurant, but still a great place! You can have a brewery tour, watch a football game on one of their large projector screen walls and even get a bite to eat from the food trucks that gather in their back parking lot. Come here with your guys and/or dog loving friends. What to Order: The Ascension  Porter

Town Hearth. The best steakhouse in Dallas! Make a res, but also fight with some locals for the coveted bar seats. What to Order: Any steak, the mac and cheese, and the tot poutine
