How do you make it through the work week? Personally, this past week was the work week from you know where – I had to remind myself to take deep breaths! I love lunch time (it’s probably my favorite time of the work day); however, it’s my afternoon caffeine time that is my happy place! I grab my mug and head to the breakroom and for a while, it’s serenity. With the caffeine dosage that I intake, I’ve got to have the proper hardware… Mugs are a part of several of my daily rituals, which kind of makes me a mugaholic. For real though! I feel like mugs are to my adult life as my Barbies were to my childhood – so many options, so little time! I like to buy some mugs that mean something to me, like if I traveled somewhere and found something I like, but some I buy just because they are cute. How about this one?! Mugs are just a fun little addition to the day, don’t ya think? My current favorite one to grab for is my Jade Mountain Saint Lucia one - I bought it on my honeymoon! Another one of my favorites states “choose joy” –I got it from a local shop in San Diego a couple of years ago. If you read this post, that is one of my favorite phrases! Another fun one to grab for is a couple set we received. Did you spot it? Mine says “I like his beard” ;)
So, can you have too many mugs? I don’t think so, but my husband does! Recently he made me an awesome chalkboard wall as a place to hang some of my mug collection. I think it is super pretty and he is just happy that we freed up some cabinet space! Marriage is about compromise right?;) Now time for more mugs!! Nick (my husband) said I could get more, only if I cleaned them better. I put cinnamon in them in the morning and at night, to help with my metabolism, but don’t wipe them out before putting them in the dishwasher…he gets the job of re-cleaning them if it doesn’t come off all the way. Gotta love him!
As you can see, one of my mugs is from Community Coffee. In an effort to fill social media with a #ShowYourMug shot , Community Coffee is hosting a contest to win a year's supply of Community Coffee and other coffee goodies! Just post a photo and hashtag it with #ShowYourMug and #contest. I mean, I would prefer to see “mug-shots” scrolling across my social accounts right now, and I’m sure would too! Next time you reach for your mug, try reaching for some Community Coffee! They are family owned and operated, for almost 100 years! You can’t beat quality with heritage.
